dISCOVERY workshops

A space for participants to learn and discover in group spaces.

thw doesn’t just believe in the power of individual and family therapy, we also center the importance of group learning and discovery. Our DISCOVERY workshops are for those who desire to gain a deeper level of critical consciousness in a collective and safe space.

Why are these SPACES helpful?

  • DISCOVERY SPACES PROVIDE PARTICIPANTS THE ABILITY TO GET PSYCHO-EDUCATION RELATED TO ALL FORMS OF WELLNESS TOPICS. THEY HELP PARTICIPANTS CONNECT WITH OTHERS THAT, ALTHOUGH, DIFFERENT, CAN RELATE TO THEIR PROCESS. DISCOVERY WORKSHOPS ENCOURAGE A BODY AND MIND EXPERIENCE, TEACHING PARTICIPANTS HOW TO CONNECT TO SELF AND THE BODY AS THEY PROCESS INFORMATION.

“I have more capacity to notice when others around me are processing trauma, which helps me have more grace in those situations. Also, I now have more practice talking about hard things, and to not shy away from healing opportunities (which is a work in progress- but seems more attainable now than before”

SLIDING SCALE

  • In acknowledging the inequity in wellness & education, we understand that there are often barriers to services for those who have been impacted by systemic oppression. If you are an individual that identifies as Black, Indigenous, Person of Color (BI&PoC), LGBTQIA+, or are in single parent household, we offer a sliding scale for our discovery workshops that we hope would create better accessibility to the spaces we offer. The sliding scale helps illuminate assumptions about communities and offers the freedom to choose what participants are able to pay.

  • Please be mindful that if you select a price at the lowest end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher ticket prices, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. Being Honest with yourself and your financial situation when engaging with sliding scale practices transforms community. It also respects the work of teachers and creators, like me, who also have families to support. When teachers are paid fairly, they are able to invest more time and resources to free and lower-cost offerings. *Language adapted from Worts and Cunning Apothecary & Decolonizing Therapy
