Supervision & Consulting Groups
A space for care providers who provide healing spaces for historically oppressed and marginalized communities.
Are you a healing care provider who works with diverse communities? Would you love a space to connect with others like yourself who are looking for deeper, brave and authentic dialogue about how to provide equitable care to your clients or patients?
Join my consulting and supervision groups with other care providers and spend the next five-six months with us as we enter a brave space to learn and grow in community!
As a Marriage and Family Therapist, I myself have hoped for spaces to discuss cultural competency within my field, but unfortunately, our field has a long way to go! The systems lens we carry as MFT’s has the ability to support what it means to be a systems therapist that advocates for social justice, cultural competence and multiculturalism. My supervision group is a space where we can learn what it means to do just that as clinicians in trainiing!! This is my way of giving back to the field I love and to create community!
Although we have all the best intentions in providing effective care for those we serve, we often don’t realize how we can perpetrate harm due to the lack of knowledge and experience we have when working with diverse populations.
“Judith challenged me in ways that helped me tangibly grow as a counselor and a human, always centering compassion and strengths-based resources while guiding me to broaden my perspective, consider my impact, and try new approaches to healing.”

Sliding Scale.
Equity in practice.
In acknowledging the inequity in wellness & education, we understand that there are often barriers to services as well as trainings for care providers that are also a part of the marginalized communities. If you are a care provider that identifies as Black, Indigenous, Person of Color (BI&PoC) or LGBTQIA+, I offer a sliding scale for my groups that I hope would create better accessibility to training spaces like these. The sliding scale helps illuminate assumptions about communities and offers the freedom to choose what you are able to pay.
Collective integrity.
Please be mindful that if you select a price at the lowest end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher ticket prices, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. Being Honest with yourself and your financial situation when engaging with sliding scale practices transforms community. It also respects the work of teachers and creators, like me, who also have families to support. When teachers are paid fairly, they are able to invest more time and resources to free and lower-cost offerings.

Do you find yourself not knowing if you are creating unintentional harm working with diverse clients?
Do you notice yourself feeling uneasy when your clients share stories that you have limited experience in hearing or experiencing?
Maybe you find yourself noticing how some therapeutic, treatment or care models are not culturally inclusive?
DO YOU VALUE BEING A TRAUMA-INFORMED THERAPIST BUT STRUGGLE TO UNDERSTAND TRAUMA RELATED TO DIVERSE POPULATIONS?
DO YOU feel alone and don’t know where to begin having conversations around equity AND INCLUSION in wellness?
WHO AM I?
You are probably wondering why I decided to create spaces like this! Well, it has much to do with my clinical experience working with supervisors, directors and leaders in mental health programs and organizations that rarely ever provided the spaces to have these real, authentic and brave conversations. It started with me looking for spaces who were already discussing authentic practices that better supported the healing of black and brown clients. I knew I had to do the extra research in my doctoral program, join outside communities, and push myself in learning as much as I could about how social justice and liberation practices should be at the center of my work. I can share so much more about my professional experience, but you can visit here to take a look and learn more about me!
My own personal experience as a Afro-Haitian American who has struggled with mental health issues and has experienced racial trauma has played a big role in the passion I have in creating spaces like this and I am thankful because It has given me the ability to show up for you!

"Judith's care was culturally sensitive and culturally enlightening because she helped me understand how my perspectives were/are shaped by dominant Western norms and that there are other ways of thinking that are more in line with my values and hopes for my life. She was also very adept at untangling traumatic experiences and their impacts on my life in a way that was not triggering or harmful, but soothing and supportive."
